PM Bench Mark- Assessment in instructional and independent reading levels. Tests for fluency, recapping information and comprehension.
Reading boxes- Levelled readers.
Prime time comprehension- comprehension wit literal and inferential questions. Allowing for HOTS & LOTS.
Language conventions- Test compiling results for spelling, grammar and punctuation (NAPLAN planning)
NAPLAN sample tests- Available for all tests admistered by NAPLAN including Lieracy and Numeracy components. (Image 4.2:1)
Primary writing Book E- For ages 9-10. Focusses on narratives, recounts, procedures, reports, explanations and expositions and their particular formats.
Primary Grammar- Examples and illustrations to assist grammar.
Word study- Investigating words, word patterns, rules and exceptions, conventions of the English language, phonics, word recognition and vocabulary.
They are used to touch on each literacy, literature and language.
The children have been learning the specific aspects of narratives, persuasive texts, reports, procedures and poetry. They have also been reading throughout term 3 Paul Jennings Singenpoo about a naughty cat.
Within the classroom there are three students who are advanced in all subjects, four ESL students, one child with undiagnosed Autism (I look forward to putting my literacy inclusive education unit into practice) and children with different social issues which need to be considered when creating all my lesson plans.
